More Northern Critters

From Bad Squiddo Games, here are some additions to my northern forests menagerie.

First up, here is a moose family, with mama, papa and baby.

These moose are bit smaller than the moose I'd already obtained from Pulp Figures, but not in a way that will stop me from using them in the same game.

Next up there is a pack of three wolves. I'm not quite satisfied with how the painting turned out.  But they'll do!

These Bad Squiddo wolves scale nicely with my old Ral Partha wolves.

There is a bear.  Annie says he's a brown bear, I decided that he looked more like a black bear.

Last up is a colony of 6 beavers.

They are very cute, but are noticeably bigger than the Pulp Figures beaver (second from left) and the beavers from HLBS (on the right).

Nonetheless, these mad trappers now have plenty of pelt-bearing critters for their traplines!

  1. I have some of the Bad Squiddo animals, too. Even though they're probably a tad large, I like them as well. Great looking set of critters!

  2. Thanks, Mike! I visited a museum this past week and now have a new idea. Modern beavers are about 2 feet long not including tail, so the Pulp beaver is about right. But the Squiddo beavers are about the right size to be paleolithic giant beavers and thus march with the wooly rhino and the mammoths for some land before time adventures!
