Cattle

 Pegasus Hobbies' Farm Animals is truly the kit that keeps on giving!  I've previously featured the sheep, goats, pigs and dogs from this set.  And I've still got the poultry to finish up some time!  However, today it is the turn for the cattle.  

My immediate inspiration to get these cows table-ready comes from What A Cowboy and the possibility of a cattle stampede appearing as a random event.  However, sharp-eyed observers may detect a top secret hint for another gaming possibility.  I am definitely no expert on cow breeds, but I decided to include a few different patterns - these cattle are as likely to appear on a European WWII table as they are in a Wild West game!

The cow at the left rear is not Pegasus, but Eureka Miniatures, and is part of a vignette featuring a couple of milkmaids.

Here she is being milked.  The milkmaid's face turned out nicely, if I do say so myself.

Her companion's face, however, is a bit unfortunate!

Who let the dogs out?

 Here is a sampling of some bits and bobs that I finished up over the past few weeks.

First up, a pack of dogs from various sources that have been in my lead/plastic figures mountain for a while.  These will join the rest of the menagerie that I use as markers for shock or similar events to avoid filling my table with too many plastic markers.  I don't remember where all of them are from: the two big black poodles are from Eureka (two variants of the 'dog enorme French), the sleep hound dog is part of the Warlord Games farm animals set, there are plastic mutts from Perry (from the British infantry 1877-85) and Pegasus farm animals boxes, plus a few more of unknown provenance.

Here are a set of pinned markers from Warlord Games.  I picked these up at a discount from Imperial Hobbies.  These will also be used for morale or shock markers in games as needed.

And to round things out, here is a man in a blue suit, from Siberia Miniatures.  He may, or may not, resemble a certain head of state.

Beasties

Always need a few more beasties!  Here's a collection of animals from Warlord Games, Pegasus, Rafm and Pulp Figures.

First up, here's the swine.The wee ones are metals figures from Warlord Games, and the two big ones are plastic figures from the Pegasus farm animals set.

They turned out kind of orange.  Probably not quite natural, maybe they share a dermatologist with Donald Trump.  

Next up, three sheep and a goat, all from Warlord Games.  These will join my ever growing sheep flock and goat herd!

Here's a wee dug from Pulp Figures, with a dashing eye patch to show what a roguish adventurer he is.

And finally a big, hairy spider from Rafm's defunct 'Death in the Dark' game.
